Get ready for an experience for the senses at Independent Hotel Show Amsterdam

The Independent Hotel Show will take place in RAI Amsterdam on the 14th and 15th of March. During this event, more than 200 exhibitors and 40 industry leaders will showcase the latest trends, developments, and innovations in the field of hospitality. The overarching theme of the show will be ‘The Five Senses of Hospitality’.

'A HOTEL IS FULL-ON THEATRE'

'A hotel is no longer just about providing a good bed and a warm shower,' as stated by Event Manager Mieke Berkers. 'The level of quality and luxury are increasingly more often found within the details. How do the bed sheets feel, what does the hotel room smell like, do the hotel lighting, and background music change accordingly throughout the day, what flavours are experienced during breakfast, and how well is the hotel room designed? A hotel is a full-on theatre, all the different facets together determine the level of quality and luxury of a hotel and amplify the hotel concept. Guests are getting more demands and hoteliers aim to lead the way. Hotels are becoming meeting places where like-minded people live, work, and relax.'

Carefully curated

The Independent Hotel Show is the boutique event where the trendsetters of the hotel industry meet each other. The more than 200 companies exhibiting at the hotel show have been carefully curated. They will show the important upcoming trends for the hotel industry in the coming years. These trends are not only in the field of design, but also include innovations in the field of personnel management, market developments, technology, food & drink, and sustainability. During an an extensive seminar program on the Hotel Vision and Hotel Business Stages, the hotel managers are updated by the most important experts from whom they receive insights, actual information, and a dose of new inspiration.

Sensory Spaces

Visitors will mostly consist of the management of independent, luxury and boutique hotels but will also include representatives of leading international hotel chains. There will be plenty of dedicated spaces and opportunities to connect and network with the industry. Like the Social Business Space, where ideas and experiences are exchanged during small-scale roundtable discussions. Our newcomer this year is the Sensory Garden, a green oasis where the focus is set on circular entrepreneurship and sustainable products.

Independent Hotel Show Awards

At the Hotel Innovation Stage, experts share their knowledge during short and powerful talks. For the first time, this will also be the place where the IHA Awards will be presented. Titles include “The Independent Hotelier Of The Year”, “The Hotel Concept Of The Year”, and “The Hotel Partnership Of The Year”. Nominations are now open for the IHA Awards. An independent jury of experts will determine the nominees who will be eligible for the voting phase. The winners will be announced during the hotel show.

INDEPENDENT HOTEL SHOW

The Independent Hotel Show Amsterdam will take place for the third time in RAI Amsterdam. The event, which has been organized in London since 2012, targets independent hoteliers from the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany, among others.
